Mrs. Johnnie Gaskins, 91, of Tallahassee, Florida, died peacefully at her home, Sunday, December 17, 2017.

Born in Cross City, Florida, she grew up in Bonifay, Florida, and was a longtime resident of Tallahassee.

Johnnie was an active member of several organizations: the Tallahassee Retired Officers Wives Club, The Tallahassee Garden Club, Trinity United Methodist Church and Killearn United Methodist Church. She was a certified Master Bridge Player who enjoyed playing in several bridge groups. Johnnie became a member of the Tallahassee Board of Realtors in 1973 earning her CRS...

Mrs. Johnnie Gaskins, 91, of Tallahassee, Florida, died peacefully at her home, Sunday, December 17, 2017.

Born in Cross City, Florida, she grew up in Bonifay, Florida, and was a longtime resident of Tallahassee.

Johnnie was an active member of several organizations: the Tallahassee Retired Officers Wives Club, The Tallahassee Garden Club, Trinity United Methodist Church and Killearn United Methodist Church. She was a certified Master Bridge Player who enjoyed playing in several bridge groups. Johnnie became a member of the Tallahassee Board of Realtors in 1973 earning her CRS and GRI during her tenure. She was an active and influential realtor for over forty years.

Johnnie was preceded in death by her husband, Lt. Col. (USAF) Perse Lacy Gaskins, Jr., and first husband, Maj. (USAF) Jules Michael Fantel. She is survived by her brother, Robert Darley, Jr. (Dorothy), children: Carolyn Fantel Buckner, Michael Steven Fantel and Darby Gaskins Radcliff (Ben) and grandchildren: Jocelyn Louise Buckner, Marcy Michele Buckner, Frances Lacy Radcliff, Mary Morgan Radcliff Stevens (Reed), Julia Darby Radcliff and Benjamin Morgan Radcliff, III.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Mother's devoted caregivers especially Patricia Perkins and Chanelle Sampson for their many kindnesses and loving care. A special thank you is extended to Dr. Judith Lewis and Tallahassee Memorial Hospital for your support.

Visitation will be Wednesday, January 10, 5:00 to 7:00 PM, Culley's MeadowWood Funeral home. The funeral service will be Thursday, January 11, 11:00 AM, at Culley's MeadowWood Funeral Home, 1737 Riggins Rd., Tallahassee, Florida, with graveside service to follow at Roselawn Cemetery, 843 Piedmont Dr., Tallahassee.

A Celebration of Life reception will follow the gravesite service at Dorothy B. Oven Park, 3205 Thomasville Rd., Tallahassee.
